Promoting Recreational and Therapeutic Opportunities for Children and Adults who are Physically, Mentally and/or Emotionally Challenged.

Explore New Horizons
From the begining of time, a special bond has existed between people and horses.  Together they continue to reach, explore and expand their boundaries.  Horseback riding and carriage driving provide this unique opportunity. These are the challenges to which Horseback Riding for the Handicapped of New Jersey has devoted itself to since 1980.

Benefits
Therapeutic riding and driving students experience physical, emotional and mental rewards.  Working with horses develops   self-esteem, concentration, patience and confidence.  Physically, it relaxes and stimulates unused muscles and joints, builds muscle tone, and improves strength and coordination.  Mentally and emotionally, the horse becomes a friend and teacher needed to build interpersonal skills among people.
